CERT VU steps up to address Cybersecurity Issues

CERT Vanuatu (CERT VU), acting on behalf of the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO) yesterday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Vanuatu Police Force (VPF) to collaborate on cybersecurity and cybercrime responses in the country at the VANSEC house.

Historic MOU signed between OGCIO and TFSC

On Wednesday this week,the Chief Information Officer of the Office of the Government (OGCIO), Gerard Metsan, the Chairperson of the Vanuatu Trade Facilitation Steering Committee (TFSC) and the Director of the Department Customs and Inland Revenue (DCIR), Harold Tarosa, signed a historic Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in relation to the security, maintenance and sustainability of the Vanuatu Electronic Single Window (VeSW) system.

Cybercrime Bill to be Tabled in November 2020

The final consultation regarding the National Cyber Security Strategy (NCSS) that was with the private sector and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) was held at the Chiefs Nakamal in Port Vila last week.
